On Monday, September 27 (2010), Starbucks Corporation settled with Mildred and Edwin Rodgers for $4.8 million. The slip and fall case against Starbucks had been in trial since September 15, 2010 before the Honorable Stephen J. Czuleger of the Los Angelos Superior Court.
Woman Awarded $5.6M for Fall in McDonald's
A woman who fractured her spine after falling at a McDonald's restaurant in Kahului, has been awarded a $5.6 million settlement by the jury hearing her case. In November 2007, Beverly Munguia, then 57, slipped and fell, … she was left with a permanent curve in her back, which put her in a wheelchair.
